The Itinerary
Day 1 | Ulaanbaatar City
Welcome to Mongolia-the Country of Eternal Blue Sky and land of Nomads. Upon your arrival at Chinggis Khaan Airport, Laguna Stella's team will be waiting for you. We will take you to your hotel centrally located in downtown Ulaanbaatar. Enjoy some walking chill-out (depending on your arrival timing) to Sukhbaatar Square and Monument of Chinggis Khaan.
Day 2 | Lake Khuvsgul
The highlight destination of your journey-Lake Khuvsgul. Take an early flight to Murun, the center of Khuvsgul Province. Then travel to reach beautiful Lake Khuvsgul areas and settle at your base camp at lake shore. On the way, have some stops in the nature and feel the emptiness of Mongolian khangai range with your inner spirituality! There will be great deal of time for hiking in the surrounding hills, swimming in the lake, or just gazing out over the vast blue expanse of water. The landscape and natural formation of Lake Khuvsgul is your must see destination in Mongolia as well as some distinct advantages of the area would give a lot more to get closer in your self-esteem.
Day 3-4 | Horse Riding to Taiga
Day of venturing up to taiga on your horseback. Your guide and horse guides will prepare your horse and give you some tips for riding on Mongolian horses. The horse riding adventure would continue for up to 3 hours till we reach where the Reindeer herders tribe camp in midst of the taiga mountain. Once we reach the destination, we will visit our host family and meet them. Our cook will serve nice meal in the nature and we all stay in tents overnight.
Day 5-6 | Tsagaan Uul and Shamans
Listen to stories, myths and get to Shaman worship. Getting to the Tsaatan involves a wonderfully picturesque reindeer (or horse riding on your way there!) trek through pristine forest and mountains. Tsaatans are very friendly and always welcome our visitors. Your guide will provide you some details on communicating with this unique living people in far forests just for the sake of this "authentic" experience. Today we will also experience how they breed the Reindeers and share their living experience.
Day 7-8 | Lake Khuvsgul Excursion
Boating and chill-out, leisure is yours! After morning chill-out, we go for hiking around the beautiful lake followed by a boating excursion. There will be great deal of time for hiking in the surrounding hills, swimming in the lake, or just gazing out over the vast blue expanse of water. The landscape and natural formation of Lake Khuvsgul is your must see destination in Mongolia as well as some distinct advantages of the area would give a lot more to get closer in your self-esteem.
Day 9-10 | Ulaanbaatar and Leisure time
Today, we take a late afternoon flight to Ulaanbaatar. Next morning, we will visit Gandan Monastery and National History Museum. After that, we also visit Mongolian State Department store and Gobi/Goyo Cashmere. Mongolian is well known for its fine and quality cashmere products. In the evening we will attend to Tumen Ekh Folklore Concert which famous for its wide variety of dance and singing performances as blessings to your journey. We will have a farewell dinner at one of Mongolia's prestigious restaurant.
Day 11 | Departure
Your driver and Trip Leader/Guide will take you to the Airport for your departure.
