Embark on your journey starting from the city of Ulaanbaatar/Ulan-Bator and continue to the wide-open ranges and steppe around the confluence of Orkhon River and discover the beautiful Lake Khuvsgul in the north.
Visit Erdene Zuu Monastery, the 16th Century spiritual center of Mongolia, as well as the historical ruins of the 12th Century capital of the Mongol Empire, the largest continental empire in history.

The Itinerary
Day 1 | Ulaanbaatar City
Welcome to Mongolia-the Country of Eternal Blue Sky and the land of Nomads. Upon your arrival at Chinggis Khaan Airport, Laguna Stella Team will be waiting to welcome you!
Transfer to the hotel centrally located in downtown Ulaanbaatar and enjoy some walking chill-out around Sukhbaatar Square, the very center of Ulaanbaatar. After having dinner at a restaurant, stay overnight at your hotel.
Day 2 | Khugnu Khan National Park
After breakfast, we drive out of the city and head to the west to explore Khugnu Khaan National Park. The driving takes 3-4 hours with a spectacular view of Mongolian grassland. Settle at camp and enjoy your meal. Our Ger camps offer traditional Mongolian Gers/dwellings with electricity, furniture, and some nice decorations as accommodation.
Day 3 | Erdene Zuu Monastery & Kharakorum
Continue our journey and take an excursion to Erdene Zuu Monastery and the ruins of the Karakorum, the 12th Century capital of the Mongol Empire, the largest contiguous empire in history.
Day 4 | Lake Terkhi and Khorgo Volcano
After morning chill-out and breakfast at your Ger camp, we drive to the Lake Terkhi region. Upon your arrival, explore Khorgo volcano, an extinct one, since ancient times while having joyful hiking through grasslands shortly before discovering Lake Tekrhi (also known as Terkhiin Tsagaan Lake) nearby.
Day 5 | Khangai Mountain range
Continue the journey across Khangai Mountain ranges to enter the Khuvsgul province region. Grasp a glimpse of the Mongolian nomadic lifestyle along with great nature while heading to the north on a long driving excursion today. Upon reaching your Ger camp, take a rest and enjoy the meal served in Mongolian style.
Day 6 | Lake Khuvsgul
After early breakfast, our journey begins heading to Lake Khuvsgul. Upon your arrival at your Ger camp, relax and enjoy the nature around the pristine lake. The evening is for your leisure including local dinner at your camp and relaxation in your Mongolian yurt. You may have short hiking around the lake shores and meet some local families in the area.
Day 7 | Excursion Day
After morning chill-out, we go for a horse riding tour followed by a boating excursion over Lake Khuvsgul. The region is also home to the Mongolian ethnic group Reindeer Herders (also known as Tsaatans) who have been living in the taiga mountains around Lake Khuvsgul for centuries.
Day 8 | Ulaanbaatar city
Today we take a late afternoon flight back to Ulaanbaatar. Once we check-in to our hotel, the time is for your leisure. Dinner and overnight.
Day 9 | Ulaanbaatar discovery
Today we will visit Zanabazar Fine Arts Museum which is rich in Mongolian traditional art painting and a lot more cultural insights. After that, we also visit the Mongolian State Department store and Goyo Cashmere as the country is well known for its fine and quality cashmere products. In the evening, we will attend to Tumen Ekh Folklore Concert, famous for its wide variety of dance and singing performances.
We will have a farewell dinner at one of Mongolia's prestigious restaurants hosted by your Tour crew.
Day 10 | Departure
Your driver and Trip Leader/Guide will take you to the Airport for your departure
